If you have never had all your “stuff” wrapped and packed in boxes and crates this can be a very anxious time, but I am here to tell you that you will survive. There are a few things you should remember prior, during, and after your move which we have found to be helpful. There are usually two groups of people who come to your house during a move; the packers and the movers. The packers are the group who arrive one to three days before the movers and wrap, box, and tag your items for the move. The movers are the people who load all your items onto the truck and haul them to the next destination. The transportation coordinator will assist you along with the packer and moving company to determine how many days the packers and movers will take to pack and move your items. The packers usually conduct a pre-inspection of your items which helps them determine the length of the pack, how many packers they need, and the amount of packing materials they will need to complete the job.
